India’s exports in August fell just 0.2% on a year earlier, a markedly better result than that expected by economists. Panjiva data shows that the U.S. drove a part of this, with shipments rising 8.9% driven by steel products (up 42.9%) and winter clothing (rising 25.9%). A 14% drop in Indian imports suggests the economy is still struggling though.
