Maersk Flow moves platform battle forward, may have limited synergies

Maersk is the latest logistics provider to launch a supply chain management platform. Maersk Flow is aimed at small- and medium-sized enterprises and is somewhat more advanced than others as it can tie into Maersk’s other services in customs brokerage, trade finance and insurance. The synergy benefits for the container-line may be limited though given Damco, Maersk’s brokerage business, and Flow are carrier agnostic.
