Container handling by the Georgia Ports Authority expanded for a 15th straight month in January, but the 2% growth was the slowest since that run began. An 8% slump in exports of loaded containers follows a pattern seen in Virginia and California, though imports remained strong with a 10% rise. That was the result of a 19% surge in shipments from China, which offset an 18% drop in shipments from Europe.
