Plain Sailing May Be Over for Savannah As EU Imports Slump

Container handling by the Georgia Ports Authority, centered on Savannah, climbed 7% on a year earlier. While that was the ninth straight increase, it represented a marked slowdown from prior months. Exports were to blame, slowing to a 3% expansion – the lowest rate of development since October. Import growth of 10% did better, as was the case in California and Virginia.
