Port of Tallinn Share Sale Comes as Volumes Slow

The Port of Tallinn in Estonia is close to launching its initial public offering (IPO) after appointing legal counsel, and will seek government approval in September. The long-term plan comes as traffic has slowed recently, with an 8% drop in volumes in the 12 months to June 30 on a year earlier. Containerized freight increased 2% to 207,540 TEU despite a recent decline. The leading shippers on U.S.-bound routes are TMS in tankers, and DB Schenker in containerized freight, Panjiva data shows.
