Savannah’s 21 Month Growth Streak Faces Less Plain Sailing Ahead

Container handling by the Georgia Ports Authority surged 13% on a year earlier in July, making the 21st straight month of expansion. A 14% rise in imports into its ports, led by Savannah, was largely down to a 25% surge in shipments from China after just 10% in the second quarter.
