Cargo handling at Singapore’s ports climbed across all segments for the first time since March, with oil products improving by 10%. Containerized freight grew for the 11th month in the past year, also by 10%, repeating a pattern seen across Asia. Shipments to the U.S. fell 5%, however. There was a marked reorientation to LA and Long Beach – which rose 42% – at the expense of east coast ports including Norfolk, Charleston and Savannah.
