Spain’s international trade dipped in October with both imports and exports falling by 2%. The export situation could have been much worse without a 32% jump in energy products – the 4% drop in capital goods exports is the biggest concern. One issue is the mix of exports – while U.S.-bound shipments jumped 16% in October, the growth came from lower-value per volume building materials.
