Spanish exports reversed July’s drop with 9% growth on a year earlier in August. This was led by exports to the European Union, which increased 12% – a similar performance to Italy. Further growth will depend on whether Spanish managers echo the positive outlook from Germany. U.S. exports are certainly improving, with a 31% increase in seaborne shipments in September.
