The U.S. ITA has determined that Chinese exports of stainless steel sheet and strip were dumped into the U.S. with dumping rates of up to 77% and countervailing duties of up to 191%. The Chinese Ministry of Commerce have said they believe some evidence was ignored in the case, which may suggest a challenge at the WTO. The case, which was launched in March 2016 and won’t formally end until March 2017, has succeeded in reducing Chinese exports.
