Texas Gets Bigger As Hapag-Lloyd Leads Houston’s Port Handling Growth

Container handling through Port Houston surged 15% higher in May vs. a year earlier due to a 21% jump in exports and 12% (up from 6%) in imports. The port’s growth remains well ahead of the national average. Notably shipments from China climbed 17% while those from Mexico fell.
