The Trump administration is taking a number of trade policy actions in the seasonal fruit industry. The first is a safeguarding, anti-dumping review of imports of blueberries. The review probably won’t be completed before year end but may eventually help producers in battleground election states including Florida and Michigan. U.S. imports of blueberries rose by 16.5% year over year in the 12 months to June 30, including a 26.7% surge in imports from Mexico.
