Home appliances manufacturer Whirlpool has asked the U.S. Commerce Department to launch a “section 201” review of washing machine imports. This safeguarding review would cover supplies from all countries, and would be the second enacted by the administration of President Donald Trump after Suniva’s solar power equipment case.
