The OECD has upgraded its outlook for global exports to 2.9% growth in 2017 from 2.7% previously. This includes a four percentage point increase for China, contrasting to recent negative sentiment from local managers and disappointing figures for October. U.S. exports are projected to grow 3.5%, upgraded by one percentage point even ahead of the new administration’s potentially more protectionist trade policies.
