Chinese manufacturers of the agricultural chemical ammonium sulfate received government support, according to the U.S. Department of Commerce. Duties to discourage further exports to the U.S. have been applied. Panjiva data shows Chinese suppliers exited the U.S. market when the probe was launched. While total imports were down 8% in September on a year earlier, new supplies – for example from Spain – have emerged. Chinese manufacturers including Wuzhoufeng Agricultural may struggle to find new markets total as Chinese exports fell 36% in August.
