China’s Ministry of Commerce has launched an antidumping review of stainless steel billet / sheet exports from the EU, Japan, South Korea and Indonesia. That’s partly a response to America’s section 232 duties on steel that has led to an overflow of supplies to the rest of the world, as well as the EU’s safeguarding measures. The move follows a 3.1x rise in Chinese imports in the six months to February 28 on a year earlier.
