Compass Treats Itself to Market Share as Chinese Imports Stoppered

The U.S. ITA has made a final determination that shipments of water-treatment chemical HEDP from China were subsidized at rates of up to 54% by the government. Panjiva data shows imports have fallen to near-zero since the preliminary determination was made in November. With Indian suppliers not returning, that should leave the field open for petitioner Compass Chemical. Chinese exports globally fell 30% in the three months to January 31, but doubled in the month of January alone as new markets were found for shipments via Hong Kong.
