India May Need to Get Hip To Tariff Reductions To Retain GSP Status With America

The USTR will review the eligibility of India, Indonesia and Kazakhstan for import duty reductions under the GSP scheme. While the House has passed GSP-renewal legislation, the Senate and President have not. The GSP has broad economic goals, though will inevitably be caught up with wider administration trade policy concerns.
