India’s trade deficit for July was well below that expected by economists. That’s not good news – it was due to a 19% drop in imports vs. a 7% fall in exports. Weakness was broad-based, with export volumes to the U.S. down 10.2%, including a 23% slump in stone products, according to Panjiva data.
