The U.S. International Trade Commission is starting a review of solar panel safeguard duties under Section 201. This a scheduled review as part of the safeguard duty process every five years. U.S. import data shows that the safeguards have not been particularly effective in decreasing imports, as imports of solar panels increased by 45.9% in the 12 months to June 30 when compared to calendar year 2017.
