Trade policy infraction filings with the U.S. government declined in April with just one anti dumping / subsidy complaint alongside four intellectual property cases and two others. The antidumping petition related to imports of steel wire with shipments from Argentina, Turkey and Taiwan. The three accounted for just 11.0% of U.S. imports in 2019 while imports from the three dropped by 90.3% in Q1. That would suggest that the antidumping case may have only a minor impact on supply chains for steel wire, which include imports associated with Michelin and Bridgestone.
