The government of Bangladesh has closed most economic activity including factories for two weeks from July 23 following a worsening of the COVID-19 pandemic. That also comes as factory production in Vietnam is being curtailed due to staff shortages. The two countries together accounted for 27.4% of U.S. imports of apparel and footwear in the 12 months to May 31.
