Spain’s exports were unchanged on a year earlier, with European Union exports (two thirds of the total) falling 1% and shipments to the rest of the world rising 2%. This reflects strength from Asian customers, though recent manager surveys in China suggests this may not prove sustainable. Exports to North America fell 3% in euros. This came despite a 31% jump in volumes shipped to the U.S. as the growth came in low-value / high volume materials. The rate of growth in U.S.-bound shipments slowed to 15% in October, Panjiva data shows.
