Nutrien’s CEO, Chuck Magro, stated the firm is “forward-placing a lot faster” than normal, with food security later this year depending on planting activity in the coming weeks. U.S. seaborne imports of fertilizer and insecticides have been in decline with a 13.1% year over year drop in February. Among major suppliers, shipments by ICL Premium fell 52.4% while those by Syngenta and Yara fell 22.7% and 22.2% respectively.
