The decision by the Trump administration to ban passenger travel from the EU and U.K. to the U.S. could cut the capacity available to carry freight in the holds of passenger jets. Panjiva’s analysis shows airfreight accounted for 16.8% of U.S. imports from the EU in 2019 after growth in those imports of 6.9% year over year.
