Volvo Faces XL Regulatory Risk as XC Sales Surge

Volvo Cars delivered a 15% growth in sales in July vs. a year earlier including a 24% surge in deliveries in the U.S. That was helped by sales of its XC-series SUV which came as sales of imported trucks dominated wider sales growth in the U.S. The challenge comes in that part of the XC range is assembled in China and therefore faces 25% duties under the U.S. section 301 review as well as the section 232 review of the industry more broadly.
