Brazil may allow imports of green coffee to support the activities of its higher value added roast coffee exporters. Panjiva data shows shipments across the five main central and south American exporting countries have fallen 4% in September and 2% over the past 12 months. The largest exporter, Peru, saw exports fall 9% in November but are 27% higher in total in the past 12 months. This may mean Peruvian green coffee shippers including Perhusa and Olam may be the best placed to export to Brazil.
