Coffee Exports Slow to a Drip, Trouble Brewing

Coffee exports fell 22% in July, according to ICO figures, to their lowest since October 2011 as a result of a 59% drop in Colombian exports. A further decline is possible if Brazilian stockpiles run dry. Additionally, U.S. imports climbed 9% in August according to Panjiva data, though longer term demand is still weak as consumer continue to switch to tea, which increased 10%.
