The global freight handling industry likely had another bumper month in June. Panjiva analysis of sea-port operations in 12 countries shows container handling climbed 8% on a year earlier, the 14th straight month of growth. Upbeat results from the Asia-domiciled container-lines may therefore be a broader phenomenon. Handling growth was the most rapid in Mexico, which climbed 16%, followed by China’s 10% expansion.
