Freight-forwarder Panalpina reported a 4% growth in second quarter revenues. That was slightly ahead of expectations – the first time in 10 quarters it has been so. Ocean freight volumes expanded 3%, inline with the market, alongside a 1% rise in rates on the prior quarter which also matched the market. The company expects ocean-freight volumes to be “stable” and rates to be “stable but rising”.
