The U.S.-China trade war could take a toll on demand for copper via a related slowdown in economic activity according to KGHM Polska’s CEO, Marcin Chludziński. Yet, he also believes China has “solutions to come away unscathed”, mitigating the long-term impact. China’s trade activity has yet to be heavily impacted by the trade war – its U.S. exports climbed 13.2% in October on a year earlier while global imports increased by 19.6%.
