The Turkish government has increased duties on American exports worth $1.6 billion in the 12 months to June 30. That comes in retaliation for the Trump administration’s doubling of tariffs on $940 million of Turkish steel and aluminum exports, and is part of a process of deteriorating relations between the two countries.
