Colombian exports fell 6% on a year earlier in September. Exports of coal fell 3% despite a 16% jump in market prices, while coffee exports fell 21% even though market prices increased 25%. Gold exports jumped 87% to 4,800 kilograms, their highest since April 2013. Exports to neighbours Panama and Ecuador increased for a second month. Shipments to Venezuela fell 48% on a month earlier – the reopening of the border may only have had a one-off effect.
