The U.S ITC has received a section 201 petition to review imports of bicycles worth less than $400 by all exporters. The growth in U.S. bike imports does not appear to be extreme with a 9.3% increase in the past 12 months to reach $1.45 billion. The case is likely targeted at Chinese bikes which accounted for 63.9% of imports over the same period as Taiwanese bikes (31.1% of the total) were imported at average values of $737 per unit.
