Orders for new vessels placed in April to be produced in Chinese shipyards dropped to their lowest since November, CANSI data shows. That meant the total orderbook dropped to its lowest in over six years. That’s not a surprise given most containerline and tanker management teams continue to call for “capacity discipline” to maintain shipping rates.
