Sportswear maker Nike will cut a quarter of its shoe styles in attempt to offset a loss of market share in North America. That follows a disappointing outlook statement at the firm’s earnings report in March. The company is still struggling. Its U.S. imports fell 5% on a year earlier in the quarter to May 31, but that is the slowest rate of decline in over a year. It is far from unique in recovering, the rate of decline at Under Armour has slowed to 9% from 19% while Adidas and Skecher’s continue to grow.
