Stolt-Nielsen kicked off the third quarter shipping revenue reports with a 1% fall in the second quarter and 5% on a year earlier, due to weaker clean products tanker volumes. This follows the tanker segment doing better than shipping overall in the second quarter. The result was inline with market expectations. Currently analysts’ forecasts suggest industry revenues could rise 10% in the third quarter vs. the second – if the late-reporting Taiwanese shippers deliver.
