Apple delivered revenue growth of 17% on a year earlier despite a rise of just 1% in the number of iPhones shipped That was in part due to a 19% surge in the average sales value per handset. The slowdown in handset sales appears to be an industry-wide phenomenon – U.S. imports of handsets fell 17% on a year earlier in the three months to May 31.
