The U.S. Commerce Department will proceed with an investigation of alleged dumping of citric acid by producers in Thailand, Belgium and Colombia. The move is not a surprise – Commerce has proceeded to investigation with all the petitions brought so far this year. Panjiva data shows exports to the U.S. from the three countries increased 20% in the 12 months to April 30 on a year earlier, while values per ton dropped 7%.
