Brazil’s exports climbed 15% on a year earlier in April, less than the 18% expected by economists. A slowing of import growth to 2%, the lowest since November, suggests export growth may fall in May. The country still recorded its second highest surplus ever, however. A 7% drop in meat exports – following a corruption scandal in March – was offset by an 88% jump in auto exports and 64% rise in aircraft shipments.
