The U.S. ITC has postponed a decision in its subsidy investigation into Chinese steel wheel imports. While that’s not uncommon it is likely also linked by the petitioners’ views of the recently launched section 232 “national security” review of the auto-parts sector more broadly. As is often the case imports of the products covered have surged following the launch of the case.
