Hyundai Merchant Marine plans to invest in new 22,000 TEU vessels, and while there are no specifics on the number of vessels it is being driven by a “national expectation for being a leading shipping nation”. The investments would follow a significant capital increase and the creation of the Korea Shipping Partnership (KSP) earlier this year.
