Hanjin Shipping looks set to sell its stake in Long Beach port assets to co-owner MSC, though it isn’t clear if the sale will include the Seattle port assets that are also part of the Total Terminals entity. Panjiva data shows the Port of Long Beach underperformed neighbour Los Angeles in September. Its total traffic fell 3% vs. a 17% increase for LA. This may have continued in October, with containerized imports rising 8% vs. 15% for Los Angeles in the first two weeks of the month.
