The delivery of Port of Philadelphia’s expansion plan – including $188 million of investment to double it container handling – can be seen most recently in the delivery of two out of five new “super post-Panamax” cranes. The long-term expansion plan should help the port avoid the congestion problems seen recently by other fast growing ports such as Norfolk.
