Thailand’s exports increased 3% in September on a year earlier, the second month of growth, while exports jumped 6% – the fastest since September 2014. Panjiva data shows the U.S. may have been the main driver of export growth. Printing machine exports, led by Ricoh, climbed 55% while ovens and other heating equipment jumped 49% due to Samsung Electronics’ increased production. Yet, the Financial Times warns the period of mourning following the passing of King Bhumibol may reduce growth in the coming months.
