Global air-cargo handling jumped 14% on a year earlier in March, the fastest rate since October 2010. European airlines made the biggest contribution to growth with an 18% expansion. Meanwhile U.S. airlines increased their handling by 10%, just ahead of the growth seen in seaborne handling. The data, alongside generally upbeat manager surveys, suggests the impact of protectionist concerns has yet to be felt in actual trade volumes.
