The U.S. ITC has received a petition to investigate alleged dumping of textured yarns from China and India at rates of up to 131%. The products are also included in the $200 billion of Chinese exports targeted for 10% duties (rising to 25%) by the Trump administration, indicating those duties aren’t seen as being enough to deter supplies. Imports from China rose 34% in the three months to August 31 on a year earlier, but fell 26% in September indicating a degree of concern about the duties.
