India’s Department of Commerce will investigate Malaysian exports of glass used to construct solar panels. That fits with the broader “Make In India” policy of restricting imports of components for solar power equipment. It is a relatively small case though, with total imports in 2017 accounting for $71 million. A surge in imports of 33% in the fourth quarter on a year earlier suggests there may be a case to answer.
