Canadian PM Trudeau’s trip to China this week had a small focus on trade, but set the ground for future discussions. Exports to China fell 14% in the three months through June 30, according to Panjiva data. The largest export line, wood pulp, fell 28% in June and the second biggest – canola seeds and oil – fell 56.5% and is the focus of a dispute despite a standstill agreement.
