The U.S. ITC is conducting a five year review into anti-dumping tariffs against imports of raw in-shell pistachio imports from Iran. Panjiva data shows imports have been minimal since 2012, with just 278 tons imported in the past 12 months. By contrast U.S. exports have surged, reaching their highest in October since at least 2009 of 32,000 tons. Exporters including Setton’s International Food and Primex Farms have managed to crack key export markets including Hong Kong and the EU.
